| Preset | What you get |
|---|---|
| Backlit Foliage Glow | Bright sun blown to a soft glow behind a screen of leaves, green-gold colour bleeding into the shadow side. |
| Backlit Rim | Light behind the subject tracing a bright outline along hair and shoulders, the front kept dark. |
| Backlit Steam (Food) | Warm light behind the dish shining toward the lens, catching steam or glossy sauce as a bright rim. |
| Bare Cool Bulb in a Dark Workshop | One bare cool-white bulb close to a work surface: a crisp bright pool on the work, the rest of the workshop in readable cool shadow. |
| Blown White Backlight | Strong backlight blowing the background to near-white, subject rim-lit with a soft frontal fill. |
| Bright Airy (Food) | Large soft light directly overhead, very even and low-contrast, almost no visible shadow. |
| Butterfly | Key light straight above the lens, casting a small butterfly-shaped shadow under the nose. |
| Candle-Flame Glow | Small candle flames held close: a deep amber glow on faces and hands that falls away within an arm's length. |
| Clamshell Beauty | Large soft source above plus a reflector below — luminous even skin with a faint shadow under the chin. |
| Coloured Gel Wash | Saturated coloured gels from opposite sides — one colour across one half of the subject, a contrasting one across the other. |
| Dappled Canopy Sunlight | Direct sun broken into shifting patches by a leaf canopy overhead. |
| Daylight Filtered Through Bonfire Smoke | Ordinary daylight scattered and muted by a drifting curtain of ground-level smoke. |
| Direct Flash | Hard on-camera flash straight at the subject — flat punchy light, shiny highlights on skin, a crisp shadow on the wall behind. |
| Dusk Horizon Afterglow | The last warm band of light along the horizon after the sun has already dropped away, fading to cool grey above. |
| Flat Overcast Backlight Silhouette | A wide flat overcast sky filling the background, strong enough to flatten anything in front of it to a dark shape. |
| Floodlit — Banked Floodlights | Banks of tall floodlights on towers, hard cool-white light from several steep angles at once. |
| Golden Hour | Low warm sun just after sunrise or before sunset — long soft shadows, amber skin, a glowing rim on the hair. |
| Hard Daylight Shaft Through a Gap | One crisp-edged shaft of direct daylight cutting into a dim room through a narrow gap. |
| Hard Sun | Direct unclouded sun — high contrast, sharply-defined shadow edges, bright specular highlights. |
| Hazy Atmospheric Diffusion | Sun behind thin haze — a pale glow with no hard disc, shadows present but soft-edged. |
| High-Key | Bright and near-shadowless, everything lifted toward white including the background. |
| Household Lamp and Window Colour Clash | A warm household lamp on one side of a room competing with cool window daylight on the other. |
| Jaali Lattice Sun Pattern | Hard sun through a carved stone lattice out of frame, scattering a crisp star-and-hexagon pattern of light and shadow. |
| Large Stacked Bonfire Lighting a Crowd at Night | A large stacked ground fire throwing warm light broadly across many nearby faces, cool fluorescent spill at the edge. |
| Light Tent | Subject enclosed in diffusion so light wraps from every direction — no glare, no hard edge anywhere. |
| Low Sun Flare Through Distant Trees | A low sun hidden behind distant trees, blooming a warm flare into one corner against a cool hazy scene. |
| Low Sun Glare Off Water | Low sun just above a water line, throwing a blown-out glare disc across the surface. |
| Low-Key | Mostly shadow with small controlled pools of light, the background falling away to black. |
| Midday Sun | Sun directly overhead — harsh top-down light with dark shadows under the brows, nose and chin. |
| Moody Dark (Food) | A single hard side light against a near-black background — everything else drops to pure shadow. |
| Moving Coloured Stage Gel Beams | Overhead moving-head stage lights throwing distinct hard-edged green and violet beams through haze. |
| Museum Spotlight Pools | Narrow ceiling spots isolating objects in separate pools of light, surroundings dim. |
| Night Market Bulb Strings | Bare warm bulbs strung overhead, each its own small point source with visible highlights. |
| On-Location Softbox Key | A single portable softbox on a stand, angled in as an obvious key against available light. |
| Open Bonfire as the Only Night Source | An open wood fire as the only light at night, intensely warm near the flame and easing into deep blue night beyond it. |
| Overcast | Whole-sky diffusion through cloud — flat, even, almost shadowless, with muted colour. |
| Phone Screen Glow Against Cool Ambient | A small phone screen held close as the brightest point in frame, against a much dimmer cool ambient. |
| Raking Low Sun Casting Bare Branch Shadows | A low near-horizontal sun throwing long hard-edged branch shadows across open ground. |
| Rembrandt | One key light high and to the side, leaving a small lit triangle on the shadowed cheek. |
| Ring Light | A ring of light around the lens — completely even frontal fill, no shadow on the face, circular catchlights in the eyes. |
| Saturated Red-Pink Ambient Gel Wash | A whole space flooded evenly in deep red-pink coloured light with no visible fixture. |
| Sheer Curtain Window Light | Daylight through a sheer curtain, scattered into a soft even wash with gentle falloff. |
| Skimming Rim Backlight | Low late-afternoon sun directly behind the subject, drawing a bright warm rim along edges and fingers. |
| Sodium-Vapour Streetlight | One tall sodium streetlamp overhead: monochrome orange light that drains colour to amber and brown. |
| Split Lighting | Light hard from one side only — half the face lit, half in near-total shadow. |
| Street Candid | Whatever light happens to be there — mixed colour temperatures, uneven, unstyled. |
| Veil Diffusion Glow | Light filtered through sheer fabric draped near the subject — soft, romantic, broken-up shadow. |
| Warm Point Source in the Dark | A single small warm lamp close to the subject: a rich amber pool on the face, the room stepping down into warm, readable shadow. |
| Window Side Light (Food) | Soft natural light from a window to one side, warm with a gentle shadow rolling away from it. |
